When it comes to choosing the power your electricity supply needs, it is essential to know the electrical appliances you have at home and the times of day you will need to use them.

• If you sign up for more kW than you need, your bills will be unnecessarily high.
• If you don't sign up for enough, you might "blow a fuse" if you switch on several things at the same time.

VAT will be added to the total in accordance with the law (10% for contracted power of less than 10 kW and 21% for contracted power of 10 kW or more), IGIC (Canary Islands: 0% or 3%, and 7% as applicable) or IPSI (Ceuta and Melilla: 4% or 1% as applicable). The regulated cost associated with the social tariff funding mechanism will be added: Fixed cost per customer (supply) of €0.019121/day (Mainland Spain and Balearic Islands: €0.02113851/day including tax for contracted power below 10 kW and, for all other cases, €0. €0.02325237/day including tax; Canary Islands: €0.01921683/day including tax for power ratings below 10 kW and domestic customers, and for all other cases, €0.01979334/day including tax; Ceuta and Melilla: €0.01940900/day including tax).

The Government has approved a series of tax measures, published in Royal Decree-Law 7/2026, valid from 22 March, which applies to bills issued from that date and for an approximate period of three months.

On your electricity bill, VAT is reduced from 21% to 10% if your contracted power capacity is under 10 kW, and the Special Electricity Tax is also lowered from 5.113% to 0.5%. For gas, VAT is reduced from 21% to 10%, and a reduction in the Hydrocarbons Tax is applied, leaving it at €0.00108/kWh.

These measures can mean an approximate saving of 15% on your electricity bill (with a contracted power capacity of 4.41 kW and an annual consumption of 3,272 kWh) and 12% on your gas bill (with an RL2 access tariff and an annual consumption of 8,546 kWh), provided your bills are issued within the application period and you meet the established conditions.

The price stability commitment guarantees that your base price will be maintained for 2 years. However, this price may be adjusted if CPI variations are applied or if there are upward or downward modifications to regulated components outside the supplier's control.
